Brier is one of the smallest cities in Washington.

Brier is one of the smallest cities in Washington with a population of just over 6,000. Despite its size, Brier is still an appealing location due to its close proximity to Seattle and other cities such as Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace. It was incorporated in 1965 and its population doubled between 1980 and 1990, but has remained steady ever since.

One of the best things about Brier is the fact that you are just a short drive from a host of amenities and attractions. If you’re not easily frightened, try out the Haunted Trails with a famous haunted house located a few miles away in Kenmore. Alternatively, you can take a trip to Mountlake Terrace to visit the Nile Country Club Haunted House. During the Halloween season, this makes a memorable and ghoulish experience!

When living in Brier, you’re only ever minutes away from relaxing in a great park with Bobcat Park, Brier Park, Locust Creek Park, and City Light Woods all providing worthy locations for a day of relaxation. Enjoy picnics, walking trails, and nature as you fall completely in love with this little city.

This small, suburban residential location is just two square miles in area but has 27 miles of streets and roads. The development of Brier has resulted in an environment filled with wooded areas and it is considered to be semi-rural, despite being only 15 miles from Seattle. The City Government hopes to preserve Brier’s character and its natural landscape while continuing to grow and prosper.
