Mountlake Terrace High School at State 2015We have made a couple of small adjustments to our high school training. We are now offering 6 different times during the week for players to train and 4 different types of training.

Monday 3:00 – 4:30 – technical training

Tuesday 3:00 – 4:30 – technical training

Wednesday 3:00 – 4:30 – tactical training

Thursday 3:00 – 4:30 – tactical training

Friday 3:00 – 4:30 – live ball

Sunday 6:00 – 7:30 – rally training with adult +4.0 players

Our technical training we will focus on stroke development and targeting utilizing the ball machines. The coaches will be on the same side of the court as the players to help reinforce the proper technique for all shots. This training is designed as “dead ball” training, a slower pace to focus on the small details.

Our tactical training we will focus on rally consistency and utilizing patterns. While players are rallying our coaching will be on the same side of the court as the players to continue reinforcing proper technique, footwork, and targeting. This training is designed as “live ball” training, a pace that is similar to match play.  Doubles teams are encouraged to sign up together, we will be developing doubles tactics in these sessions.

Our live ball training is 100% point play and game situations. The games will focus on match specific skills at a fun intensity. Coaches will start all of the points with a feed or a serve.

Our rally training with adults is a fun opportunity for our junior players to train with adult players. This creates an opportunity for our top players to train with a higher level while providing adult players the opportunity to train with younger faster players. The focus of these sessions changes every week to cover all of the strokes throughout the session.

Registration for the November 2 – December 20 session is open, register today!
