Tennis Bio

John, has been playing tennis for many years, racking up a lifetime of experience in both game play and coaching. John began playing tennis seriously in high school, during which time he accomplished runner up finishes in both doubles and singles play leading up to his 1970 first place finish in the 1970 High School State Championship.

After high school, John continued to play tennis while he attended Arizona State University. From 1971 to 1974 John was ranked ASU’s #1 Mens Tennis player for 3 out of 4 years. His college tennis team was also ranked in the top 15 nationwide during those years.

John’s love for the game has kept him on the court ever since. He has won several national championships for Senior singles and doubles events, plus he has been an active member of the USPTA since 1980. John has also been teaching advanced level tennis for much of his post-college life. John is also the proud father of two beautiful daughters, excellent tennis players in their own right.

Over the course of John’s tennis career he has played national, is a father to 2 nationally ranked daughters, and has coached several national ranked players.
