As one chapter of life closes and another grows there are some ups and downs.  Forest Crest is growing at a strong rate with 120 current members and 4 new members planning to join next week!  The focus on properly growing the membership and the junior program at Forest Crest has created the environment that makes it more difficult than anticipated to regularly travel to Arizona.  It was a very difficult but necessary decision to suspend all Basha Tennis training in Chandler, AZ.

April 26 was a very exciting day to watch the orange ball tournament at Forest Crest.  Emma, Jackson, Jay, and Carryn did an amazing job competing.  Several points had rallies over 10 creating many opportunities to move forward to the net and moving backwards for a high lob.

Next week we are launching our first after school tennis program at Lake Forest Park Elementary school.  It’s exciting to get after school tennis going again.  That most exciting part is we had more than 30 children interested in attending the program!  Our largest program in the Chandler School District was 18 players.

The last spring session starts this week.  As the winter season starts to slow down we are excited to start announcing our summer schedule.  Our junior program will have Monday – Thursday camps with evergreen league matches on Friday and tournaments on the weekends.  We are also planning a western Oregon tournament trip July 9 – 19.  We are in the process of planning our hotel schedule.  Our goal is to have the entire package put together by May 12 and to have registration close on May 31.  We will be inviting parents as chaperones as well.  Any Arizona families want to escape the heat for a couple of weeks to enjoy the Pacific Northwest?

Good luck to all of the Arizona players competing in the high school quarter finals next weekend!
