Maria
Josh is one of the best tennis coaches I've ever trained with. Rarely can a coach train students with a combination of drive, patience and kindness and Josh has perfected this.

Brad
My two children have been taking lessons with Basha at Forrest Crest for six months and recently shared that they learn a lot more and have more fun here than at the “other” tennis center.

Paul
This tennis facility is simply the best. Be warned, there are no frills here. The courts are not heated so they are chilly. Change rooms are simple and plain. It’s all about the tennis here.
About Basha Tennis
Our goal is to help you become the kind of tennis player you want to be. We want to know what your specific tennis goals are and how we can best help you accomplish them.

Our Coaching Philosophy
Tennis is highly complex and demanding, requiring its athletes to bring an elite level of athleticism, intelligence, fitness, and mental discipline in order to be competitive at the upper echelons of the sport.
It is our goal to inspire an ethic of hard work and intensity and a passion for the sport, within which we intentionally guide each player to develop an understanding of how to capitalize on their unique strengths while also edifying their weaknesses.
We teach our players how to analyze a situation and select correct strategic choices, as well as how to execute under pressure.
As strategy, technical ability, mental toughness, and fitness all go hand in hand, we plan to incorporate a blend of drilling, situational point play, and supervised set and tournament play to develop versatile players that can withstand the rigors of competition.
It is here that we equip our players with the physical and mental tools necessary to handle the adversity they face every time they step out onto the court.

Looking to get in shape, improve your technique, or simply make new friends? If so, welcome to Basha Tennis!
Why Take Tennis Lessons?
Tennis is a great activity to maintain and grow your health, fitness, strength, and agility in shape. It offers social and psychological advantages as well.
As a social activity, you can play with friends and family on our private indoor tennis courts or outside on courts. Tennis is a sport that may be played competitively, by entering in tournaments, or recreationally on weekends and evenings.

Group Tennis Lessons
Picking up a tennis racquet and merely striking the ball isn’t enough. Instruction includes proper grips, technique, footwork patterns, balance and hitting positions, by a certified coach. Proper instruction makes learning the fundamentals of tennis much more enjoyable, plus there are many long-term advantages; physical and mental development!
The fundamental goal of Basha Tennis is to have fun, and to grow! We design beginning tennis lessons around exercises and activities to help children and adults develop skills like accuracy, consistency, and court awareness – all while having a great time doing so! We aim to make playing patterns and pattern recognition second nature with repetition.
Group tennis lessons are great for players of all ages and abilities. We offer Juniors (ages four to 18) and Adults (all ages) classes to better hone one’s skills. Classes are organized based on skill level to ensure players develop at a consistent pace.

Private Tennis Coaching & Competitive Training
Have you ever taken a private tennis lesson and smashed amazing backhands or blasted strong serves but couldn’t duplicate your performance in a match?
A private lesson, assists you in accomplishing two goals: acquiring and/or enhancing a skill and then maintaining that skill. Our highly-skilled coaches design lessons to help you learn with your preferred learning style reinforcing the skill when it matters most, during match play.
We focus on correcting tennis technique, building consistency, and developing positive routines to perform better in competition. We also promote good lifestyle habits and can provide feedback on match results (live in-play critique – what happened and why).

Racket Stringing & Grip Replacement
The more you play, the more the tension in your racket strings changes. The instructors at Basha Tennis are qualified to execute custom re-stringing on your racket to bring it back in shape and improve its performance.
Your game will stay in top shape if you restring your racket regularly, especially if you notice it’s losing its “punch.” When the tension in your strings decreases, your strings stretch more upon impact, softening the ball’s landing and reducing the “squashing effect” of your racket’s design. This results in a lack of control and erratic play. Restring your favorite tennis racket several times a year to keep your game at its best.
In order to place the ball on the court with the spin and pace you want, you must have a proper grip on your racket. Because players tend to grasp more hard on an undersized grip, a grip that is not of the right size increases your chances of missed shots. Striking a tennis ball with a poor grip makes it harder to control your shots, reduces your chances of making firm contact, and delivering a firm impact.

Bothell, Washington

Bothell Pioneer Cemetery has a historical plaque. The National Register of Historic Places lists the cemetery, which was created in 1889.
Prior to European contact, the Sammamish people lived in the Sammamish River basin from Lake Washington to Issaquah Creek south and upstream of Lake Sammamish, a population of up to 200 Native Americans. Following the Puget Sound War in 1856, the Sammamish were transferred to reservations and non-reservation areas.
Brackett sold 80 acres to David Bothell, a Pennsylvania resident, in 1885. When the town was platted in 1888, the town’s first postmaster, who acquired his land from Bothell, named it after him. A small train was erected through the town during that year to deliver coal from Issaquah. On April 14, 1909, the city of Bothell was formed.
Bothell grew as logging spread and river traffic increased, bringing more products and people up and down the river. In the years after Bothell’s incorporation, the Army Corps of Engineers chose to dredge and straighten the river as more people came into the region. When Lake Washington was lowered in 1917, most boat travel came to an abrupt halt just a few years later. After a brick road was created from Seattle, water transportation was likewise replaced by trucks. Around the same time, the timber industry began to wane, and the local economy moved to farming.
Better roadways and a post-war boom ushered in suburban expansion in Bothell after WWII. Bothell’s population grew substantially from roughly 1,000 in 1950 to over 45,000 in 2017, thanks to these new subdivisions and a series of annexations. After an unsuccessful effort in the 1980s to acquire part of the neighboring town of Woodinville, they incorporated as a distinct city in 1993. In 1992, the city acquired a portion of southern Snohomish County, making it a dual-county city with a population of 11,400. The city’s population has grown by 144 percent to over 30,000 people throughout the decade.
Until the 1990s, when company growth brought new opportunities to form a regional employment hub in Canyon Park with over 20,000 employees, many in high-tech areas such as biotechnology and software development, Bothell was largely a bedroom neighborhood for individuals working in Seattle. The University of Washington established a campus in Bothell in 1990.
The city of Bothell initiated a $150 million redevelopment effort in 2010, which included the destruction of 15 buildings, the relocation of State Route 522, the expansion of the Bothell–Everett Highway, the expansion of a public park, and the expansion of the city hall.
On July 22, 2016, a massive fire in downtown erupted at the Mercantile Building, causing extensive damage and forcing the closure of more than 20 companies. The fire shattered the redevelopment plan and required public assistance to reconstruct.
What Bothell is Known For

Woodinville Wine Country
Woodinville wine country is a region in Western Washington centered on the city of Woodinville, which is about a 30-minute drive from downtown Seattle. More than 130 wineries and tasting rooms are located in the region, including Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Winery, Novelty Hill Januik, Silver Lake, Matthews Winery, and Tenor Wines, to name a few. Despite being in the Puget Sound AVA, the bulk of Woodinville wineries obtain their grapes from the Columbia Valley and Yakima Valley American Viticultural Areas in Eastern Washington.
Several vineyards in Woodinville wine area provide tours and tastings in addition to producing wine, with Chateau Ste. Michelle hosting a summer music series at its amphitheater. Woodinville Village, which is now under construction, will highlight some of the area’s smaller wineries that are not generally exposed to the public. Woodinville’s wine country is bisected by State Route 202.

North Creek Trail
Bothell, Mill Creek, and Everett, as well as the villages in between, are connected by the North Creek Trail. The path also links to the Sammamish River Trail, which connects to the Burke-Gilman Trail, which is part of the Rail-Trail Hall of Fame. These three fantastic routes, when combined, give over thirty miles of path to explore. The route winds through a woodland corridor with mild slopes and ponds, making it ideal for bird viewing. As of fall 2011, the path is divided into two sections.
Between McCollum Pioneer Park along Route 96 and 164th St. SE in Mill Creek, the northern part extends for 2.5 miles. The Bothell portion stretches about five miles from 214th St. SE in north Bothell to the Sammamish River Trail just south of Route 522.
Another phase is under construction, which will connect 208th Street SE to Bothell Everett Highway/SR 527 at 214th Street. In the meanwhile, riders must utilize on-street bike lanes on Bothell Everett Highway/SR-527 to connect the two portions. Note that these lanes are inadequately defined in both directions (as of April 2011), and the section of the roadway between 214th St SE and 164th St SE is congested.

Saint Edward State Park
Saint Edward State Park, located near Kenmore and Kirkland, Washington, is a 316-acre park. It’s a component of Washington’s State Parks System. The land was logged in the 19th century and again in the 1920s before becoming a Catholic seminary and eventually a state park. Bicyclists and hikers may enjoy a variety of routes that run through the park.
Coast Douglas-fir, Western Redcedar, Bigleaf Maple, Pacific Madrone, and Western Hemlock make up the majority of the forest canopy. Many different types of fern, shrub, and moss may be found in its thick carpet. It is bordered on the west by an undeveloped Lake Washington beach. Bastyr University is housed in the Saint Thomas Center, which is surrounded by the park.
