Maria
Josh is one of the best tennis coaches I've ever trained with. Rarely can a coach train students with a combination of drive, patience and kindness and Josh has perfected this.

Brad
My two children have been taking lessons with Basha at Forrest Crest for six months and recently shared that they learn a lot more and have more fun here than at the “other” tennis center.

Paul
This tennis facility is simply the best. Be warned, there are no frills here. The courts are not heated so they are chilly. Change rooms are simple and plain. It’s all about the tennis here.
About Basha Tennis
Our goal is to help you become the kind of tennis player you want to be. We want to know what your specific tennis goals are and how we can best help you accomplish them.

Our Coaching Philosophy
Tennis is highly complex and demanding, requiring its athletes to bring an elite level of athleticism, intelligence, fitness, and mental discipline in order to be competitive at the upper echelons of the sport.
It is our goal to inspire an ethic of hard work and intensity and a passion for the sport, within which we intentionally guide each player to develop an understanding of how to capitalize on their unique strengths while also edifying their weaknesses.
We teach our players how to analyze a situation and select correct strategic choices, as well as how to execute under pressure.
As strategy, technical ability, mental toughness, and fitness all go hand in hand, we plan to incorporate a blend of drilling, situational point play, and supervised set and tournament play to develop versatile players that can withstand the rigors of competition.
It is here that we equip our players with the physical and mental tools necessary to handle the adversity they face every time they step out onto the court.

“I made it look so easy on court all those years. No one realized how hard I had to work. No one realized how much I had to put into it. They underestimated my intensity.”

Looking to get in shape, improve your technique, or simply make new friends? If so, welcome to Basha Tennis!
Why Take Tennis Lessons?
Tennis is a great activity to maintain and grow your health, fitness, strength, and agility in shape. It offers social and psychological advantages as well.
As a social activity, you can play with friends and family on our private indoor tennis courts or outside on courts. Tennis is a sport that may be played competitively, by entering in tournaments, or recreationally on weekends and evenings.

Group Tennis Lessons
Picking up a tennis racquet and merely striking the ball isn’t enough. Instruction includes proper grips, technique, footwork patterns, balance and hitting positions, by a certified coach. Proper instruction makes learning the fundamentals of tennis much more enjoyable, plus there are many long-term advantages; physical and mental development!
The fundamental goal of Basha Tennis is to have fun, and to grow! We design beginning tennis lessons around exercises and activities to help children and adults develop skills like accuracy, consistency, and court awareness – all while having a great time doing so! We aim to make playing patterns and pattern recognition second nature with repetition.
Group tennis lessons are great for players of all ages and abilities. We offer Juniors (ages four to 18) and Adults (all ages) classes to better hone one’s skills. Classes are organized based on skill level to ensure players develop at a consistent pace.

Private Tennis Coaching & Competitive Training
Have you ever taken a private tennis lesson and smashed amazing backhands or blasted strong serves but couldn’t duplicate your performance in a match?
A private lesson, assists you in accomplishing two goals: acquiring and/or enhancing a skill and then maintaining that skill. Our highly-skilled coaches design lessons to help you learn with your preferred learning style reinforcing the skill when it matters most, during match play.
We focus on correcting tennis technique, building consistency, and developing positive routines to perform better in competition. We also promote good lifestyle habits and can provide feedback on match results (live in-play critique – what happened and why).

Racket Stringing & Grip Replacement
The more you play, the more the tension in your racket strings changes. The instructors at Basha Tennis are qualified to execute custom re-stringing on your racket to bring it back in shape and improve its performance.
Your game will stay in top shape if you restring your racket regularly, especially if you notice it’s losing its “punch.” When the tension in your strings decreases, your strings stretch more upon impact, softening the ball’s landing and reducing the “squashing effect” of your racket’s design. This results in a lack of control and erratic play. Restring your favorite tennis racket several times a year to keep your game at its best.
In order to place the ball on the court with the spin and pace you want, you must have a proper grip on your racket. Because players tend to grasp more hard on an undersized grip, a grip that is not of the right size increases your chances of missed shots. Striking a tennis ball with a poor grip makes it harder to control your shots, reduces your chances of making firm contact, and delivering a firm impact.

Kenmore, Washington

At the time of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 23,914 people. Kenmore is also home to the Kenmore Air Harbor, the United States’ biggest seaplane-only passenger facility.
The dahlia is Kenmore’s official city flower, the great blue heron is the official city bird, and the rhododendron is the official city evergreen.
Kenmore was founded in 1901 and takes its name from the Scottish settlement of Kenmore, through the town founder’s hometown of Kenmore, Ontario. John McMasters and his wife Annie came in Puget Sound from Canada in 1889 with the intention of starting a shingle business. They built a shingle mill on property leased from Watson C. Squire on the northern bank of Lake Washington. Kenmore had a school system and a post office by 1903, but it was not incorporated as a city until August 31, 1998.
Despite the fact that the Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern Railway began operations in the region in 1887, most early access to the city was by boat, with regular ferry service to Seattle, Bothell, and Woodinville beginning in 1906. A passenger train station was subsequently added to the city. The Red Brick Road, the first upgraded road link between Seattle and Bothell, built between 1913 and 1914, with bus service beginning after the bricks were laid. As a consequence, Kenmore became a weekend gardeners’ paradise, with local landowners offering clear-cut “garden plots” to Seattleites with cars and green thumbs. During the 1920s, it drew at least two short-lived nudist colonies.
The effect of Prohibition, on the other hand, was much more obvious. As a large illicit alcohol business grew to fulfill the needs of Jazz Age Seattle nightlife, Kenmore rapidly became known in Seattle for excellent country cuisine and, more crucially, great country drinking. Although Bothell Way was reasonably near to Seattle proper due to its position as one of the few upgraded roads leading north from downtown at the time, it was still far enough out that Department of Revenue officials could overlook it for the most part.
The Blind Pig, a roadhouse on Lake Washington’s Shuter’s Landing, was possibly the most well-known of the Kenmore speakeasies. If required, its illicit hooch could be poured into the lake swiftly and readily at the lake’s edge. Few were misled by the name, which was really a well-known slang phrase for “speakeasy.” The Pig, despite its renown, was not the city’s most notorious saloon. The Bucket of Blood was given to the Inglewood Tavern as a result of its frequent violence and fist fights.
Through the 1940s, Kenmore’s archipelago of eating and entertainment – over 30 restaurants, dance halls, pubs, and clubs in a three-block radius – remained a prominent element of the city’s character.
What Kenmore is Known For

Wallace Swamp Creek Park
An approximately 25-acre passive open area close to the west and north sides of Kenmore Elementary School. Between 68th and 73rd Avenues NE, this open area stretches east and west over Swamp Creek. The open area has been developed to the bare minimum. A bridge spans Swamp Creek, providing views of salmon spawning, stream access, and walking and riding routes.

Log Boom Park
On Kenmore’s Lake Washington waterfront, this 3.9-acre park gives access to nearly 1200 lineal feet of beachfront. The public pier is an excellent spot to watch seaplanes land, cast a fishing line, or just enjoy the sunset. The Kenmore History Path, playground area, picnic tables, access to the Burke-Gilman Trail, daylight moorage, and bathroom facilities are among the other amenities. The Tracy Owen Station is named after Tracy Owen, a former member of the King County Council. A lot of people enjoy the water by renting kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.

Sammamish River Trail
The Sammamish River Trail, part of the “Locks to Lakes Corridor,” is a 10.1-mile bike route and recreational trail in King County, Washington that runs along the Sammamish River from Blythe Park in Bothell to Marymoor Park in Redmond. At its northwestern end, it links to the Burke-Gilman Trail, and at its south-eastern end, it connects to the Redmond Central Connector.
The path is paved for bicyclists, inline skaters, and pedestrians, and it runs parallel to an unpaved horse track for the majority of its length. It runs through Woodinville, passing the Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia, and Silver Lake vineyards, as well as the old Redhook Ale brewery, which is currently leased by DeLille Cellars, Sparkman Cellars, and Teatro ZinZanni. Throughout its whole length, the route has a very minor incline. The Burke-Gilman Trail, Redmond Central Connector, East Lake Sammamish Trail, Tolt Pipeline Trail, and Puget Power Trail all link to the Sammamish River Trail.

How Much are Tennis Lessons?
In the United States, one hour of tennis instruction costs roughly $60. The cost varies depending on the coach’s and player’s skill levels. A lesson for a small group in a park with a coach with limited credentials will likely cost just a few dollars per person, but an hour with a top coach at an elite academy costs between $100 and $200 per session.
At Basha Tennis private lessons range from $65 to $95 an hour and group lessons range from $11 to $35 an hour (depending on the player coach ratio).
What Age is Best to Learn Tennis?
The majority of specialists agree that the optimal age to start playing tennis in a more formal way is when a child is five or six years old.
